It was not the start Modern Racing Prints GP was looking for at Road Atlanta, as one of the largest and most competitive grids of the iGPFun season devolved into a bit of circuit-wide chaos for our three driver lineup.
It was Jeff Breuer who first encountered trouble, with a stalled car on the grid leading to an ugly pileup that sent him headed down pit lane before making it past the start/finish line. Breuer managed his way through a tough recovery drive and ultimately was scored in 31st.
Way found his own bit of trouble on Lap 4, coming together with Max Bartolotta in a high-speed touch of wheels at Turn 1 that forced him to limp back to the pits and sit through a long tough - Way's efforts to rejoin the race were hampered by a later spin and he retired in 38th place out of the points.
Finally, it was the other Breuer who managed to outlast his teammates in the early stages of the race, but a solo-spin in Turn 7 cost him dearly, forcing a tow that led to a speeding black flag and quickly relegated him out of content for a Top 20 run and back into the pack several laps down. He ultimately came home in 33rd, the last car scoring points in the race.
While it wasn't the result anyone was looking for down in Georgia, hopes will be higher for next week's final tune-up race for the team, the last round of iGPFun action on the historic Silverstone Bridge GP layout.
