Strong Season 3 Finale at Silverstone

Strong Season 3 Finale at Silverstone

After last week's rough outing at Road Atlanta, a two-car Modern Racing Prints GP entry scored a much better result in their second official start at Silverstone, where the league tackled the historic Bridge GP layout.

Evan Way qualified 7th in the 54 car field and spent the majority of the day locked in a tight top-10 battle with Will McIntyre-Jones, Niklas Wessman, Victor Barris & Christian Glämsetter. Here's a clip of some of the action from Way's cockpit as he fought off Barris late in the race:

When the dust cleared he was able to hold onto that initial 7th place position and with it, a solid haul of points to improve his place in the final table. While still unofficial, Way looks set to take 9th place in the overall standings, up six positions from his 15th last season and a new career best.

Matt Breuer also had a strong day deeper in the field - he was able to avoid the Lap 1 chaos that sent scores of drives into the pits requiring repairs but tyre deg ultimately cost him a top 20 result when he had a solo spin that dropped him out of contention and all the way back to P29. He was able to turn things around in the closing stages and make his way up to a preliminary P23 final result, boosting him further up the points standings towards a career best 23rd (if results hold).

Official action will be quiet as iRacing heads into Week 13, but we'll have more news on driver's entering the team's Season 4 competitions in the coming 2 weeks before we kick off in Monza.
